Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, the power lines run right up along the side of our long drive way. I say fortunately, because by trimming, they can keep the branches from scraping the cars and trucks that come in. However it does drastically change the view.
Yesterday morning, we got a knock on the door at 7:40. The trimmers had arrived.
Luckily, I knew they were in the area so I took this picture the day before.
I'd like the seclusion, but I'd guess I like having electricity even better.
ReplyDeletewow...I guess you stayed inside the A/C car as I couldn't really hear the trimmers and I bet they aren't quiet...
ReplyDeleteThat is one scary piece of equipment.
ReplyDeleteAt least you will always have electricity hopefully.
Scary! But they make short work of it. I know what you mean by the change in the view. The county has hired a guy to clean up the FIL's side of the road (across from us). This fella is slower than Christmas, but I can see the view slowly changing. Not sure I like it as much though :-/
ReplyDeleteI like it better with the trees...but having the a/c or heat is pretty important! I'm usually not thrilled when the tree trimmers show up in our neighborhood. Maybe I'll have to bribe them with some cupcakes next time.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to remember that cookie trick next time they come to my house! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI guess it needs to be done but I always like it when the tress grow back out.
ReplyDeleteThat trimmer machine means business!
We have those monsters run up & down the Katy Trail & I inevitably have to run all the daycare kiddos inside as the machine throws pieces of wood long distances. They all stand at my back door & watch them go by :)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of cookies? ;)
ReplyDeleteHave you seen when they trim from helicopters? That's crazy!
The new view would take some getting used to but is still lovely.
