Breakfast

Sunday morning breakfast.
Fried squirrel and Missouri fried apples, oh and cheerios!
Is that a redneck's breakfast or what?

  2. Every bit of that sounds yummy. We bought some wine sap apples at a farm in Augusta last Friday. Jim has especially requested an apple cobbler. Now to just find the time to make one!

Breakfast for us this morning was a turkey wrap (Jim) and bowl of Cheerios (me) - then off to church and back home in time for Jim to go to work.

  3. Sounds delicious. I haven't had fried squirrel in in a 'coon's age.

  4. Fried squirrel for breakfast--oh, my! Back in the day, my young son and his dad used to squirrel hunt. I am looking at a picture on my wall of young son and 5 squirrels laid out in front of him. I think I made his dad cook them--I do remember cooking bear meat--smelled awful.

This morning I cooked eggs, ham and toast. How boring! :)

  5. Inquiring minds want to know... does it taste like chicken? If we ever had something different while growing up, mom always said, eat it, you'll like it, it tastes just like chicken!

  7. All sounds good to me, but -- I just can't quite do the fried squirrel. ;) We had pumpkin pie bread & fresh gingersnaps for breakfast. Not as nutritious as your meal, but kinda yum with the coffee :D -T

  9. I found you through Marlene at Stitchin' By the Lake.....I have read quite a few of your posts and I think I will be back often! Love your Casita! We are doing an Extreme Trailer Makeover on our RV, and can't wait for January and our yearly winter trip.

And I ate squirrel as a kid when we lived in Iowa. I don't remember what it tasted like though!

    Blessings to you!
