Toyland Day #19

Here I am in my kitchen, I even had an electric stove. You see my Daddy was making the dish cabinet in the basement weeks before Christmas. I asked him what he was making and he told me a tool cabinet.

Imagine my surprise when I woke up Christmas morning and told him, "Santa put my dishes on your cabinet Daddy."

I still have my little pine cabinet. I am pretty sure it's made from pine fruit shipping crates, as there is part of a label inside. Here is a picture I took last January. Lizzie is playing with my dish cabinet.

These are the moss rose dishes that came with my cabinet on my 5th Christmas.

Children and toys . . . makes Christmas complete!

  2. I'm wondering if every little girl our age had a set of those Moss Rose dishes... I know I did! Mine are in my china cabinet.

Your kitchen set is so special. Love the story and of course the picture of Lizzie is darling.

  3. I too had a Moss Rose set of dishes but lacked that beautiful pine cabinet to display 'em on.

I handed mine down to my granddaughters Honor(mini~me) and her little sis...Sarah Grace. Their mom, The Latin Lovin' Hillbilly gets them down for special tea parties with the girls.

That precious Lizzie is a livin' doll!!!

God bless ya and have a marvelous day sweetie!!! :o)
