A Sunday foodie post

Dinner all started with some homemade bread. I had googled a recipe using my kitchen aid mixer. I found this one.  I was very please with the white bread and it's taste as well as it's texture.

I was then led to my Pioneer Woman's cookbook, where I found her recipe for pineapple upside down cake made in an iron skillet.  It was delicious. The son said it probably outranked Angel food cake in his book. Once again today I used my kitchen aid mixer.

Speaking of the son, he once again went mushroom hunting. The grandson and blacksmith had found a few earlier in the day, but the son bought home a grocery bag with many in it.

So I fried them up, while the guys grilled steaks and chicken breasts.

Photo of the day!

I then used my kitchen aid mixer to grind pork for breakfast sausage.

Have a good week!

You and that kitchen aid are going to town. Everything looked so yummy.
I thought the mushroom and gun picture was funny. Like if your walking through the woods with all the mushroom you have just found you don't want anyone taking them from you so you carry a gun. teehee

Yum yum. I love mushrooms but we haven't found any yet this year. They are a real treat. I had to do a double take when I saw the gun, then I realized it was to show the size of the 'shrooms. :D

I think I love my Kitchen Aid mixer just as much as it seems you do. Once I get it out, I think of whatever else I can make with it while it's on the counter.
No morels up here yet. They usualy hit around Mothers Day but it's been so cold here it might even be later this year.

How did we every live without our Kitchen-Aid mixers? All of the food looks scrumptious!

How did you fare with the hail last night. It sure woke me up!

That photo of Lizzy is priceless.

The food looks more than fabulous, but your photo of the day is over the top. How cute! Guess we need to start searching for those elusive morels. I need someone to teach me how to search 'em out! -Tammy

Homemade bread is one of my favorites? Why do they mushroom hunt with a 9mm?
