I finished two baby quilts last week.
I embroidered Brooklyn's name and the year. A little variance from my usual paper piecing of the name. This quilt is for my Godson's first born daughter.
This one you saw on my blog yesterday. It's for one of my co-workers, I mean now X co-workers. They are not reveling her name, so I just used "Miss".
I made both quilts using one jelly roll and to that I added a yard of black, and a yard of pink fabric. For the pattern, I found this great YouTube video from my favorite quilt store, Missouri Star Quilt.
After I had the blocks completed, I just played with them until I found something I thought would work. Both quilts are machine quilted.

May RETIREMENT be the best job you ever have.
I think it will be. We retired 5 and half years ago. My husband retired from M&A Elec Coop in Poplar Bluff, MO (37 years). Enjoy seeing your quilt projects.

beautiful quilt
These are beautiful...very lucky x coworker! I've toyed with sowing, but I've never had the patience it requires. You have both the patience and they eye for what will be attractive in a quilt...I really admire that in you! Love the black and pink:)
They are both very pretty and will surely be treasured for a very long time. We enjoyed our visit with you and BT Sunday. Love your Casita. It is perfect. Now to find one just like it for us!
