Baking day

Monster cookies cooling and peanut butter cookies waiting to go in the oven.

Snicker doodles cooling.

Today was baking day.  Looks like I'm in charge of the boutique, at the Blacksmith Association of Missouri conference this year.  So I baked lots of cookies.  They are now in the freezer, 2 to a bag.  At fifty cents a bag, they will go quickly.  By keeping them in the freezer for a week, it takes the temptation away from me!  All 10 dozen.

I also made chocolate chews that are awesome.  I already had them in the freezer when I thought about a picture.  But go over to Mennonite Girls can cook.   You will find the recipe there.  Just don't leave the pecans out, they make the cookie!

Okay, so I figured out that my oven is running about 25 degrees lower than the digital readout says! After two loaves of bread, and a loaf of banana bread gave me a few problems with doneness, I decided to check the temp. Now that I know, I can at least adjust. So, now you can come and bake cookies for me. They look delish!

Those cookies look good! I baked bread today, but there are no cookies for Kat's lunch. I guess she'll have to do without because i don't think I have the energy to bake anything else tonight.

Boy wish I had some right now. I just finished my lunch and it's my birthday, but no cake or sweets in the house. Boo hoo. I've been gone to Paducah quilt show so I've got to get back into the swing of things. I love hearing about all your canning too.
