All in a day's work!

On Friday I bought a 3/4 bushel of North Carolina peaches at the Amish store.

Today, I made one pie, canned 7 pints of sliced peaches  and 11 pints of peach salsa, gave 10 peaches to my bff, prepared a big bowl of slices, and I still have 7 left to eat!

Never mind the fact, I did dishes 3 times, fixed lunch, washed, dried, and put away 2 loads of laundry, and took care of a 3 year old.

I was in the middle of making dinner when this happened.

Period.

End of my work day!

Dang new mandolin slicer. (I know Sarah. You told me so!)

Wow, I am amazed at pic #1 and then seeing what you turned those peaches into in pic #2. I bet vanilla ice cream with a warm peach topping would be a great use of one of those jars.

Ouch on the finger!

Ouch!! Anyone with a mandolin has a story just like this. Thankfully it only happened to me once.

your peach stuff looks fantastic!

You could've gotten out of all that work if you'd sliced your finger at the beginning of the day. ;)

And that would be the reason that my mandolin sits on the closet shelf.

You go girl!

I don't know how on earth you got all that done! You must have been a lightening streak in the kitchen! Sorry you ended the day with an injury . . . do you use a finger guard on your mandolin?

I don't know what a mandolin slicer is, but I don't want one! You have been so busy. Those peaches are going to taste great this winter, aren't they. That pie looks delicious. I'll bet you had help with making it, too.

Ouch! Sorry you sliced your finger. I usually do that when I am slicing a ham or turkey. No, I don't use an electric knife even though I have one. :) The peaches look very good.
Did you get rain last night? Only sprinkles again here...bummer.

Ouch! No mandolins for me, apparently. I can do that with a dull paring knife. Your peachy work looks delish (do I spy peach salsa in there too?). -Tammy
