Another quilt in the frame! And it's ball season

Ballgames have started!  Alex had his first one last night. I can tell he has gained some confidence since last season. At their age, scores are not kept, so he's a winner every game!

His first time up to bat!

I have put my 3rd quilt in the frame in about 6 months time.  That's a record for me. This one, I've only quilted on about 20 minutes, but it quilts like running a hot knife through  butter.  My mother embroidered this at least 20 years ago for me. She did a double set of blocks so the wedding rings would be complete.  It fits our queen size bed beautifully.

Now my dilemma is, do I quilt this weekend, or cut grass?  Both of which I am thoroughly enjoying right now.

I love an embroidered quilt! I'm working on one now called Twas The Night Before Christmas - red work - and even thought it's going to be a long time in the making I love doing the embroidery. I'd sure be quilting and not mowing. :) blessings, marlene

What a beautiful embroidered quilt--extra special because your mom made it. I can see how it would be fun to quilt as there are no seams. You will probably have it done in no time.

Your quilts are so beautiful! Hmmm...quilting or mowing...not sure which one I'd pick because I like mowing myself. Have a great weekend.

Woo!! Look at Alex go! The embroidered quilt is beautiful. It's going to be too hot to mow, so...
I vote for quilting! (I do like to mow also though - but think of those cicadas too!) You and your Blacksmith have a great weekend, no matter what you choose to do. -Tammy

Your mom did a beautiful job! and it's very cool that you're finishing it off, what an heirloom! ...

I'd cut the grass, save the quilting for rainy days or sleepless nights..

What a beautiful quilt. So nice to have things made by family. And you hand quilting it.
I have watched little boys play ball for many years. They are great to watch, some of them just seem to be natural at it.

You are a quilting demon! Wow.

We have been to five of the grands' ballgames so far. Am hoping to make it to the JC ones this week or next. Maybe I'll see you there.

That quilt is going to be a treasure.
