Drinks were first on the agenda. Grace made the best spiced cider drink. It had cream, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and of course apple cider in it. you heat it up, and then in each individual cup add whipped cream and a shot of apple schnapps. Delicious!
The bar area was very popular. The food was good too, honey glazed chicken nuggets, sweet chili meatballs, garden salad, homemade hot rolls, sausage stuffed mushrooms, and cupcakes iced in the brides colors of purple and green.
Here we are, mother and daughter wearing each others dresses. I had to really suck up to get into her dress. My wedding dress she is wearing was made by me, and cost a whopping $36.16 for the fabric. That's a looooong way from what they cost now!
Here Sarah is with her other mother Diane, my bff. (More on that later). Notice both mothers are in the same dress color. We both had the same wrapping paper on our gifts too, quit by accident.
Lizzie really got into helping her aunt Sarah open gifts. She was just making up for what she missed by being sick at Christmas. In fact, Lizzie is wearing her Christmas dress for the first time.
Sarah and her cousin Melissa. These girls went all through school together, they are just 3 months apart in age.
For neighbor Kathy, this was her first time at a Sisterhood party. Let me tell you she did an excellent job (thanks to her mother's attic) choosing her outfit.

You girls of the Sisterhood know how to throw a great party!! You and Sarah and all the gals look fabulous, and the food & beverage menu sounds divine (as always). What a sweet gift from your BFF! btw, somehow I had missed that post about your BFF.. so had to check it out too. How very cool is that? You both are very lucky gals. Stay warm and safe in this weather! -Tammy

Oh what fun! Can just anyone join the Sisterhood? Looks like you gals have a lot of good clean fun. And you look fabulous in your daughter's dress, and she in yours. Neat idea! We're having a tropical heatwave....only eight below this morning!
Looks like a great time. The postponement only made it that much more desired I'm sure. Love the old dresses! And you fit in your daughters dress? I'm impressed! I can't even fit back in my own wedding dress let alone a young gals. :)
I could probably fit in Rebecca's prom dress, when I was 10, I think that is when I was a size 2. Thanks for sharing in your special party, it looked like a lot of fun and I'm sure Sarah appreciated it.
You and your friends/family seem to have such fun!
You look great in daughter's dress as she does in yours. I am impressed that you made your own wedding gown! I guess you have always been a skilled seamstress.
That apple drink does sound good. I was reading the ingredients, thinking where's the booze? LOL.. then you finally mentioned the schnapps.
I really enjoyed this fun post!
Looks like everyone had fun and wow on the dress you made for just that amount and it is a beautiful dress also, you are very talented :o)
Glad it went so good!! Loved seeing the photos too : )
Fun! I loved seeing the vintage dress and shoes. :) blessings, marlene
OMGoodness...how cute are you all..lol
You must have gotten married around the same time I did as our wedding dresses are identical!! Mine cost $32 and I BOUGHT IT!! It was on a clearance rack...that would have been in 1971.. but there is no way I would ever fit into again...even if I still had it...which I don't..as it got ruined in a flood..
What a great Sisterhood bridal shower! It is very impressive that you were able to suck it up to fit in Sara's dress. You looked more like sisters.
Everything and everyone looked fantastic!
