Super Bowl B-Day

Today is a great day!!

I made butter with my kitchenaid. I found the recipe at Life's Journey.

It took me more like 15 minutes.

I can't wait to smear it, nice and thick, on my sour dough english muffin in the morning!

I then found my sewing machine back and worked on the two book bags for the flower girls.

If I only had lots of binding now, I could finish. They will have handles and probably velco tabs to close.
The blacksmith then took me out to eat. It was my choice and I chose Steve's Family Restaurant in Lohman, Mo. They were having a super bowl special. It was buffet; fried chicken, mashed potatoes, milk gravy, green beans, slaw, and homemade bread. All you could eat for $5.00. Yes you read that right $5.00 for fresh, never frozen, fried chicken!! Yummo!

Now I will go celebrate the first day of the last year of my 5th decade. Happy Birthday me! Nice of them to have that big party for me in Dallas! :)

Happy Birthday!! You were a cute little baby. I must say that just looking at the sidebar photo, you don't look your age! Sounds like you had a good day with lunch out. Can't beat that price! Take care. ~Cheryl (who is a few years older)

Happy birthday, my friend! I hope you enjoy many more! You found your sewing machine, uh? I can't wait to find mine! I know where it is, safely tucked on the bottom bunk, way in the back, in the trailer. We will arrive at our destination today so will spend tomorrow getting set up for life in the trailer.

Again, happy birthday!

Happy Birthday! Wish I had been there to eat fried chicken with you. I've been to that cafe and it's really good. :) Loved that you made butter. I don't have a KitchenAid. Wonder if my mixer would do it? I might just try it! blessings, marlene

Love the book covers, so pretty.

Happy Birthday, Patti! I hope you had a wonderful day!

Homemade butter--that sounds and looks good. I do love butter. Did you just whip heavy cream and add a pinch of salt? I guess I could go find the recipe, but I am too lazy right now.
