I've said it before, and I'll say it again . . .

I love TUESDAYS!

Another day with Ms. E here. Today she came wearing the outfit  I made for her a couple of weeks ago. She was also sporting the hat that Grandpa had bought for her at Easter.

Now is this a tomboy or a little lady???

A few weeks ago when we had Ms. E's great grandma over for dinner, as E was leaving, she yelled bye Wieberg!!  Some how she forgot the Grandma part. So dang cute.

And as a final note, I just wanted to say thank you all for your prayers and concerns for the Sarah. She is making a nice recovery from the surgery. After a few more days of rest she will be back to work the first of next week.

Afterwards we had a little fashion show. I saw a blog the other day, Searching Out Simple and she showed some darling little skirts to make. (Her June 6th posting).  So I made a couple for Ms. E.  The tops I just purchased from Wally's world for $2.50 and added some embellishments.  The skirts took 1/4 yard for the body. The rest was in my leftover fabric box.

She even wanted to get Bentley in on the action.

That is until he wanted to taste it. She was out of there then.

You know, clothes sewing was my first love, long before quilting. I might just have to get back into it.

I love Thursdays

On the Thursdays that I don't work, I get to take care of Miss Elizabeth.

She came dressed so cute today, as she does most days.

She loves to feed Bentley cookies.

That is what she calls the dog treats.

She goes and gets them herself and then stands at the door and calls puppy over and over.

If he gets fat, it's going to be her fault.

Her grandpa taught her where the cheerios are stored.

She can get them too.

It takes just a few to satisfy her.

But if she gets fat, we can blame Grandpa on that one.

Here she eats them by the handful.

Update on Lane: He had surgery #2 yesterday.

Today they took him off of life support and he is holding his own.

Lepage Threshing day, 2nd time around

It was a beautiful day in the country. It was our second time to attend and particapate in LePage's threshing days. The only bad
thing was the heat and the gosh darn humidity! 87 degrees, and felt like 100 according to weather.com.

The meat for lunch was furnished. It was some awesome smoked meats. The pork steaks were about an inch and a half thick. Cooked to perfection. You could cut them with a plastic knife.

The Raspberries are ripe!

What a beautiful weekend we have had. Even though it is the middle of June, we still haven't had the boat on the river. The weather just doesn't cooperate. Today we had clouds most of the day and the sky looked like rain. So far tonight it still hasn't happened. However there is a 60 % chance of storms tonight and tomorrow.

I took this picture to show you just how beautiful my pear cactus are. For you non-Missourians, you probably didn't know they grew here. Soon big yellow flowers will open. I'll keep you posted.

Here are just a very few of the wild raspberries we have growing behind the house. BT picked a nice bowl of them yesterday. I had one short trip to them and I'm paying for it now. Chiggers!

Saturday we had the grand kids. I still can't get use to not say "the boys". Anyway here we are enjoying our vanilla bean ice cream and fresh raspberries. Just after this picture was taken, the 5 year old took a spoon full that happened to fall on his shirt and roll down to his pants. "Crap" he said. All Grandpa and I could do was look at each other and laugh. Anyway he's my son's child. This won't make his mother happy.
