This is the quilt I made about a year and a half ago for our Casita Camper. (I can't believe I don't have a picture of it quilted.
Anyway, we need another quilt in the camper for those chilly nights. So I dug into my stash and found some leftover fabric.
This is what I came up with. I will either use cotton batting or a wool batting and do a lot of practice stitches when machine quilting it. That will be a lot of tugging I'm sure with my Elna Quilter's dream machine.
Next week is the local quilt guild meeting. We are to bring a homemade pin cushion in a brown paper bag. We then will do a swap. I've been looking on Pinterest and Google for weeks now. I came up with one similar to this. I tried it twice and it didn't work out. So the blacksmith told me how to tweak my seam areas and this came out pretty darn good on the first try. I forgot how much fun it was to cover buttons too!
While I have been doing all the sewing the blacksmith is doing some filing of his own.

Love your pincushion and the fabric you made it from. I have some pieces left from a making a quilt from that line and love it when I have a chance to use them in something.
Your new camper quilt will be so much fun to quilt!
Love the "old" and new quilts for the Casita.. can't wait to see the new one all quilted! You're so quick to complete a project! Pincushion is also too cute. I have an old one similar to that, and I wish I could remember from which Grandma!

Your new camper quilt is so cheerful. It will be fun practicing your quilting on those bright blocks.
I think your little pincushion is darling too. Be sure and show us what you get in the swap.
Can't wait to see what we end up with.
That pincushion is cool! Your quilts are always so interesting. You are very talented.
What in the world is the blacksmith doing?
Game tonight at 7... don't know whether we are going or not.
The new quilt is so pretty!
Your new quilt is bright and cheerful! I love wool batts...so warm but light weight. I love that your husband was able to tell you how to tweak the seams. :) blessings, marlene
Very cute pincushion! I have a few more that I'd like to make one of these days! :0)
Where have I been. I've missed so many of your posts.
Oh, quilts for your Casita. How fun is that.
Now I truly wish I had joined the pincushion swap, would love the chance to get yours.
Are you going to do the potholder swap later this fall? I plan to make a couple.
